Biography
Dr. Patra has a brilliant academic records throughout his career. He ranked First in Agricultural stream in West Bengal Board in 1971. He also secured Second position during graduation and First position in post graduation from BCKV in 1976 and 1978, respectively. Dr. Patra did his Ph.D. in 1982 from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. Dr. Patra presently working as the Vice-Chancellor of Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Mohanpur, Nadia, West Bengal, India. Dr. Patra is a Fellow of the Indian Society of Soil Science, New Delhi, National Academy of Sciences, Allahabad and National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, New Delhi.
